Welcome to our village, we hope you have a great stay. Proudly Yorkshire, but nestled close to the borders of Lancashire and Cumbria, we are an ideal base to explore both the Yorkshire Dales, Forest of Bowland and the Lake District.

Make the start of your stay hassle-free and order your essentials ready for when you arrive! 

 

Get in touch with us a day or two before you arrive with your order and we’ll get it ready for you. Simply pay for your order in store when you collect it.

Getting around

Train

The nearest train station is Bentham (3 miles away) where you can catch trains towards Leeds and Morecambe.

Bus

There is a bus stop outside the village shop that takes you to Ingleton, Kirkby Lonsdale and beyond.

If you’re going to Bentham, cross over the road and you’ll see the bus stop!

Taxi

Bentham Taxis provide a local service. Booking in advance is strongly recommended, call 07768 571407.

Bin collection

Depending on where you are staying in the volage, the bins are collected on either Wednesday or Thursday. Blue and green bins are collected on alternate weeks.

Blue = waste for recycling
Green = general household waste
Brown =  garden waste only
